Written by Max Power, Gary Fixter strikes as a very well-directed film as well as amazingly scripted. The plot is simple but intricate, with three story lines that goes back and forward thanks to some impressive flashbacks and flash-forwards. The characters evolve inside the movie naturally, just like butterflies’ larvae breaking through the cocoon towards the new world. It is impossible not feeling overwhelmed by this artefact, an artefact that looks taken straight out of a magician’s hat. Watching Gary Fixter is the equivalent to try DMT and then welding a kaleidoscope on your eyes.
